Campaign Manager, Wild and Working Forest Program
Sam has been a key organizer in dozens of campaigns for forest and climate defense. Sam has a Bachelors Degree in literature and philosophy, and a Masters Degree in Education. A former instructor on a wide range of topics including writing, civics, philosophy, Pacific Northwest forest ecology, ecological justice and pedagogy, Sam most recently worked as a grassroots organizer developing strategic and effective campaigns in defense of public lands across the state of Oregon. She helped organize dozens of public demonstrations against the Jordan Cove LNG project and ensured the submission over 100,000 comments to Oregon state agencies opposing the fracked gas project. Based out of Olympia, Washington, Sam will continue to advocate for climate smart forest practices across the Pacific Northwest.
